Experience

Stephen is one of our Senior Consultants.

His work, and accompanying research and development in the field of Collision Investigation have led to him obtaining Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status from the Engineering Council, and attaining Membership of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE). He is also a Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI) with whom he is registered as an Advanced Automotive Engineer (AAE), and a Member of the Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators (MITAI).

Stephen entered into the field of Collision Investigation with a keen Engineering mindset. His practical approach to collision reconstruction and his ability to produce high quality plans and illustrations will often provide clarity in the most complex of cases.

He has an enquiring mind which reflects on his approach to his work. As an Engineer he is all but too aware of the detrimental effect that changes in vehicle design are having on methods routinely employed by Collision Investigators in the reconstruction of collisions, and it is this underlying ethic that motivates him in his approach to his research in the field.

Stephen is routinely instructed in both criminal and civil matters and has presented live evidence in both forums. The clarity and thoroughness of his investigations are typically effortlessly resilient to the rigours of the judicial process.

He has produced the following peer reviewed publications:
